(4-H Enrollment is open to youth currently 5-19 years of age
as of December 31st of the program year.)
If you are a NEW 4-H family or NEW Adult Volunteer please contact the 4-H Office prior to signing up online. The 4-H Office can guide you thru the 4-H enrollment process and connect you with clubs in your area. Please either call 707-263-6838 or email Nicole at nmgentry@ucanr.edu.

Course Information Below:
New Volunteer Course
For volunteers starting their first year as a volunteer or coming back after a break of a year or more. The course includes essential parts of 4-H service, such as orientation, CANRA guidelines, and the 4-H Thriving Model for Positive Youth Development. Individuals will also learn about 2-Deep Supervision and how to create a safe and welcoming environment for all youth.
- Course length: 1 hour and 35 minutes (can be done in multiple sessions).
Returning Volunteer Course
For volunteers beginning their second year or more without a break in service of a year or more. This course provides important updates on policies and best practices to keep volunteers informed. It covers CANRA guidelines and the 4-H Thriving Model for Positive Youth Development. Learners will also learn how to create a safe and welcoming environment for all youth.
- Course length: 55 minutes (can be done in multiple sessions).

Enrollment Fees
Fees to enroll in the Lake County 4-H Program:
For 2024-2025 4-H year, 4-H enrollment fees are as follows members $67.00 and leaders $28.00. Some projects may require a fee for participation. All expenses related to projects are the responsibility of the family. Fees are subject to change yearly.
If you would like to pay for your youth enrollment fee via credit card please go to the link below. Please note that the enrollment fee for youth paying by credit card is $69.00 to cover credit card processing fees. You can always pay your club directly via cash or check if you prefer.
