The Master Gardener Program Coordinator (CES 3) manages the day-to-day operations of the program under the supervision of the Environmental Horticulture Advisor and in coordination with the Statewide Master Gardener Program. The MG Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, coordinating and facilitating the training of volunteers, including guiding and supporting volunteers with continuing education, information and resources; evaluating program implementation outputs and impacts; collecting and compiling enrollment, documentation and evaluation of data from volunteers and participants; and writing reports in compliance with funding requirements. The CES 3 uses skills as an experienced community educational program management professional to conduct needs assessments and develop new community educational programs. The CES 3 demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses and presentations and for program development and improvement, and is fully knowledgeable in course subject matter and volunteer management. The CES 3 will build and maintain a network of community partners, develop news releases and news articles, and maintain subject matter competence. The CES 3 maintains fiscal oversight of the MG program and ensures compliance with statewide program policies and procedures, and effectively resolves conflicts and complaints.
Hourly Salary: $45,000/yr. to $62,600/yr.
